About the Role
The Operations Director entails
The Operations Director will be responsible for:
Lead day-to-day operations across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and production to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Oversee support functions including after-sales, facilities, IT, HR, and health & safety.
Drive operational and commercial performance through cost control, efficiency improvements, and KPI management.
Maintain operational systems and processes, including ERP and quality management systems.
Develop and lead teams, building leadership capability and fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements of the Operations Director
Experience working within an SME manufacturing environment in a hands-on leadership role.
Proven ability to lead broad operational functions including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, warehousing, HR, and IT.
Background in low-volume, high-value, technically complex manufacturing.
Strong understanding of end-to-end operational processes, from production planning through to delivery.
Experience in electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing is highly desirable.
