Design Engineer – Smoke Ventilation Location:  Kidderminster Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits Technical Resources are working with a leading name in the smoke ventilation sector, known for delivering high-performance, compliant systems across major UK projects. They’re growing — and looking for a Design Engineer who wants to be part of a forward-thinking, technically driven team where your ideas and expertise will genuinely make an impact. You’ll be designing life-safety systems that protect buildings and people, working on a mix of projects alongside experienced engineers, architects, and contractors. This isn’t just a design role — you’ll be involved from concept through to delivery. Responsibilities Designing mechanical & natural smoke ventilation systems Ensuring compliance with EN12101, BS9999 & building regs Working closely with project teams to deliver fully integrated solutions Reviewing CFD analysis to optimise system performance Producing detailed technical documentation and design packs Experience Experience in smoke ventilation or building services design CAD experience (AutoCAD, Revit or similar) Strong understanding of fire safety / ventilation principles Someone proactive, detail-focused, and confident managing multiple projects Learn more about Fire and Security recruitment at Technical Resources.
