About the Role
<p>A respected community-based healthcare organization in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Physician or Pediatrician to join its primary care team on a part-time basis. <p>Title: Family Medicine Physician/ Pediatrician (Part Time)<br />
Location: Brooklyn, NY<br />
Salary: $100 to $105/hour</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>
<p>Patient Care<br />
• Provide high-quality outpatient medical care to pediatric and/or family populations.<br />
• Conduct complete physical exams, well-child visits, and chronic disease management.<br />
• Take detailed patient histories, assess health needs, and develop individualized care plans.<br />
• Perform gynecological histories and physicals as needed.<br />
• Prescribe medications and educate patients and families on treatment plans.<br />
• Manage follow-ups, referrals, and coordinate with specialists as appropriate.<br />
• Promote preventive care and educate patients on health maintenance, parenting, nutrition, family planning, and chronic condition management.<br />
• Respond to patient inquiries via telephone or EMR-based communication.</p>
<p>Team Collaboration & Supervision<br />
• Provide clinical supervision to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners under collaborative agreements.<br />
• Offer guidance, mentorship, and clinical oversight to support quality patient care delivery.</p>
<p>Quality & Compliance<br />
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocol development.<br />
• Ensure accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.<br />
• Uphold patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal policies.</p>
<p>Environment<br />
• The role is based in a Brooklyn clinic and may include occasional outreach at affiliated community sites.<br />
• A supportive, multidisciplinary team environment with dedicated exam and administrative spaces.<br />
• Organization follows a strict no-smoking policy.</p>
<p>Qualifications<br />
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.<br />
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Pediatrics.<br />
• Active New York State medical license (or eligibility).<br />
• At least 2 years of clinical experience preferred.<br />
• Experience with underserved or vulnerable populations strongly preferred.<br />
• Bilingual (Spanish or other language) proficiency is a plus.</p>
