Temporary House Manager /Head Housekeeper in St John’s Wood

Our private clients are seeking a highly experienced Temporary House Manager / All-Rounder to support their fully staffed household in St John’s Wood during a particularly busy period. This is a key temporary role to help ensure the smooth running of the home alongside the established permanent staff team. The position is primarily focused on household coordination, purchasing and errands, while also being hands-on when required — stepping into housekeeping duties to assist with increased workload and general operational support. Clear communication with the Principal and strong initiative will be essential to ensure the household continues to run seamlessly during this time. Duties will include – · Household purchasing, ordering and stock management · Running ad hoc errands and sourcing household items · Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the residence · Assisting with housekeeping duties when required to support the team during busy periods · Maintaining clear communication with the Principal and wider household team · Using initiative to identify and resolve operational needs within the home · Any other duties required to support the household during this busy period The ideal candidate will be highly experienced within UHNW private households, confident working in a hands-on capacity and able to step in wherever needed. They must also be comfortable using a computer for household orders and administration, with fluent English and excellent communication skills. Working days & hours: Between 30 and 40 hours per week, across up to 6 days per week (with one guaranteed day off weekly). Typical hours are likely to be 12:00pm – 8:00pm, though flexibility is essential depending on the needs of the household. Assignment dates: ASAP for between 1 and 2 months Salary: Dependent on experience Unless otherwise specified, a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
