About the Role

By joining the University of Lancashire, you’ll become part of a thriving community of talent that’s united by a shared vision – to transform the lives of our students and create prosperity and opportunity in the communities we serve. Every colleague has a vital role to play in helping us achieve this vision.

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer in Dietetics to contribute to the development and delivery of high‑quality dietetics education within the School of Health, Social Work and Sport.

The successful candidate will play a key role in teaching, course management, research, and scholarly activity. Working collaboratively with course leaders, they will help design and deliver innovative dietetics programmes that prepare graduates for contemporary, evidence‑based practice across healthcare, public health, and non‑NHS settings.

About you

We welcome applications from Dietetics professionals who are passionate about shaping the future of nutrition and dietetics education. With strong clinical and academic expertise, you will bring creativity, enthusiasm, and vision to curriculum design and teaching. Recent teaching experience is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be available within the role.

You will need a degree in Dietetics (or Nutrition and Dietetics) and be a registered dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), together with relevant professional experience as a practicing dietitian. Recent clinical experience and good awareness of practice education in the UK is essential.

We welcome applicants with an interest in research and scholarly activity. Whether you are an early-career researcher or have an established portfolio, you will be encouraged to pursue your interests and contribute to our Allied Health Research Unit’s growing national and international research profile. You will have opportunities to supervise student research projects, collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.

Use of AI in applications: We want to understand your genuine interest in the role and artificial intelligence can be a useful tool to support your application. Applications that rely too heavily on AI tools can appear generic and lack the detail we need to assess your skills and experience.
