Role Overview The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing the company’s credit control function, ensuring that all accounts are settled promptly and reducing the risk of bad debts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Manage customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices Perform credit checks and assessments on new and existing customers Prepare and issue invoices, reminders and statements Follow up overdue accounts and negotiate payment plans where required Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and account updates Produce regular reports on aged debt and collection activity Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes Collaborate with sales and finance teams to resolve account issues Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations Identify and implement process improvements within credit control Skills and Experience Previous experience in credit control Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, IFS or equivalent) and MS Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Willingness to travel to other company sites Here at the Genuit Group we recognise and develop the contribution our people make to the Group’s success and are committed to attracting talent from the widest pool.
