About the Role

<p class="MsoNormal">A growing biotech company in Rockville, MD is looking to add a Lead Antibody Engineer to their team who has extensive knowledge in guided phage display and antibody discovery technology.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Innovate new phage display techniques</strong> — including guided selection methods and epitope-focused approaches — to enhance platform capabilities beyond traditional processes.</li>
<li><strong>Utilize deep mutational scanning and NGS-based analysis</strong> to gain insight, guide library design, and create predictive models of antibody fitness landscapes.</li>
<li><strong>Create novel phage display selection methods</strong> for complex targets like membrane proteins and conformational epitopes.</li>
<li>Contribute to intellectual property and field advancement through inventing and publishing high-impact research.</li>
<li>Collaborate with structural biology to utilize cryo-EM, crystallography, and molecular dynamics data for informed engineering decisions.</li>
<li><strong>Incorporate AI/ML and computational tools into phage display processes</strong>, leveraging generative protein design and in silico affinity prediction to speed up lead discovery and optimization.</li>

<div><strong>Qualifications:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>PhD in Molecular Biology or related discipline.</li>
<li><strong>Proven experience in advanced phage display with focus on method development.</strong></li>
<li>Strong track record of impactful publications is a plus.</li>
<li>Interest in working at the intersection of experimental and computational antibody engineering.</li>
