<strong>Asset Appraisal Surveyor</strong><br><strong>Location:</strong> North West London<br><strong>Contract:</strong> 3-Month Ongoing Contract<br><strong>Hours:</strong> Full Time<br><strong>Working Pattern:</strong> Office & On-Site (No Remote Working)<br><strong>Compliance:</strong> Standard DBS Required<br><br>About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced <strong>Asset Appraisal Surveyor</strong> to join a busy local authority in North West London.<br>This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Building Surveyor to play a key role in assessing and appraising a diverse property portfolio. You will undertake surveys, provide technical advice, and support strategic decisions relating to asset management, maintenance, investment, and property improvements.<br>Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure that assets are maintained to a high standard while delivering value for money and supporting the organisation's long-term property strategy.<br>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Carry out asset appraisals and condition surveys across a varied property portfolio.</li><li>Assess the condition, performance, and lifecycle of buildings and identify maintenance requirements.</li><li>Prepare detailed survey reports with recommendations for repairs, refurbishment, or disposal.</li><li>Provide professional building surveying advice to support asset management decisions.</li><li>Support planned maintenance and capital investment programmes.</li><li>Ensure compliance with current building regulations, health and safety legislation, and statutory requirements.</li><li>Manage and monitor external contractors and consultants where required.</li><li>Maintain accurate property and asset records.</li><li>Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver projects on time and within budget.</li></ul>About You:<br><ul><li><strong>Degree or HND in Building Surveying or an equivalent qualification.</strong></li><li>Experience carrying out building condition surveys and asset appraisals.</li><li>Strong knowledge of building construction, defects, and maintenance practices.</li><li>Experience working within property, asset management, or building surveying.</li><li>Good understanding of relevant legislation, building regulations, and health and safety requirements.</li><li>Excellent report writing and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.</li><li>Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment is desirable.</li></ul><br>If you're an experienced <strong>Asset Appraisal Surveyor</strong> looking for your next local authority contract, we'd love to hear from you.
