​Management Accountant – Accountancy Practice (Full-time or Part-time considered)

Location: Yeadon, Leeds (West Yorkshire)

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Yeadon, Leeds, seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their team. This is a flexible opportunity, open to both full-time and part-time candidates.

The Role:

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality management accounts to a varied client portfolio, supporting business owners with timely financial insight. The role will involve a mix of office-based work and occasional visits to client premises.

Key Responsibilities:

· Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients

· Reviewing and interpreting financial data to provide meaningful insights

· Supporting and overseeing bookkeeping staff alongside other senior team members

· Ensuring accurate and timely completion of VAT returns

· Exposure to CIS and an understanding of payroll processes

· Working both from the office and occasionally on-site with clients

Requirements:

· Strong experience within an accountancy practice (essential)

· Previous experience in a management accounts role preferred

· Experience using Sage 50 and Xero

· Good working knowledge of VAT; CIS and payroll exposure advantageous

· Qualification by experience (QBE), AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA considered

· Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple clients

· Confident communicator with the ability to build client relationships

· Experience managing or mentoring bookkeeping staff (desirable)
