Opportunity Details

• Location: Apple Valley, California
• Contract Type: Hospitalist Locum Tenens
• Start Date: ASAP (upon credentialing)
• Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 days
• Shift Options:
  • Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Swings: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• 208-bed acute care hospital
• 20 ICU beds (open ICU model)
• EMR: Epic
• No APP coverage

• 5 day physicians
• 1 swing physician
• 1 night physician

Clinical Scope

• Average daily census: ~85 patients
• Admissions:
  • Days: 10–15
  • Nights: 6–12

• Arterial line placement
• Central line insertion
• Intubation
• Vent management
• EKG interpretation

• Participate in rapid response team
• Share responsibility for codes with ED

Robust specialty coverage including:

• Cardiology
• Neurology
• Pulmonology
• Gastroenterology
• Nephrology
• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• Radiology and advanced imaging

Requirements

• Internal Medicine trained (MD/DO)
• Active California medical license (required)
• Comfortable with required procedures
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
