Diagnoses, evaluates, treats, counsels patients with a wide variety of communication disorders and swallowing disorders. Provides appropriate care for patients served according to age, using procedures consistent with the scope and standards of practice.

EDUCATION
Master's degree in speech-language pathology.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association (includes nine months of supervised internship and a qualifying national examination); CT license; continuing educational units; computer literacy; excellent communication (aural/oral/writing) skills.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Works in a typical office setting. May be required to work a flexible schedule. May be required to monitor radiation exposure with a film badge Moderate amount of sitting and walking with some stooping or bending.
Acute Care Experience required. FEES certification required.
