About the Role

Analyst (Materials / Product Testing) If you are passionate about science, curious by nature, and genuinely enjoy learning how things work, this could be a great fit. This role sits within a fast-moving, materials-focused business developing next-generation bio-based materials for high-performance applications. You will work at the intersection of scientific research and engineering, supporting laboratory-based development and the technical teams responsible for translating materials from concept through to application and scale-up. It is a strong opportunity for an Analyst who enjoys getting hands-on in the lab, takes pride in producing high-quality data, and is motivated by continuous learning. You will build deeper technical expertise while seeing your work directly inform real engineering decisions. What you will be doing: Providing analytical support across scientific and engineering teams, you will help turn experimental data into practical, application-ready insight. This will include: Running routine and complex analytical methods to support research, development and engineering activity Collecting, analysing and interpreting results, then communicating findings clearly through reports and presentations Supporting the development and validation of new analytical methods, learning and applying industry best practice Troubleshooting and optimising testing methods in collaboration with scientists and engineers Operating and maintaining analytical equipment to ensure consistently high-quality output Performing materials testing and characterisation to evaluate performance and suitability for scale-up Working closely with scientific and engineering teams to meet project goals Adhering to laboratory safety, quality and regulatory standards What we are looking for: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (2:1 or 1st) in a relevant scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Materials Science, Analytical Science, Textiles or Leather Science A genuine passion for science, materials and continuous learning Familiarity with analytical methods for testing materials, ideally including bio-based materials Comfortable working across both scientific and engineering-led teams Strong organisation, data handling and attention to detail The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary environment Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting results to different audiences Industry or research experience in analytical science or materials testing Exposure to CASE materials testing including coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers Experience with polymers, biomaterials or textile-related production environments Interested?
