Job Description
- Oversee fabric testing to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to select suitable fabrics for products.
- Evaluate fabric durability, colour fastness, and other key attributes.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of fabric specifications and test results.
- Stay updated on new fabric technologies and trends within the retail industry.
- Support the development of sustainable and innovative fabric solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams on fabric-related matters.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Fabric Technologist should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in textile technology, fabric science, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in fabric testing and quality control processes.
- Strong knowledge of fabric properties, manufacturing processes, and compliance standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
