Within our Crop Protection division, we operate in North Africa, where we contribute to healthy harvests, food security, and sustainable farming practices by providing reliable and innovative crop protection solutions.

Your role

As Portfolio Manager, you are the primary point of contact for technical questions about our crop protection products in North Africa. You combine market knowledge with technical expertise and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and suppliers. In this visible role within our international organization, you will act as the bridge between the local market and our headquarters in the Netherlands.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing and expanding the Crop Protection portfolio in North Africa, including green products, and developing a long-term portfolio strategy.
  • Identifying new product opportunities and building solid business cases
  • Staying up to date on technical knowledge and market developments, collecting competitor insights, and translating these into portfolio opportunities.
  • Advising and supporting customers on product introductions and positioning, while providing technical solutions and demonstrating product value.
  • Organizing and executing product trials and market launches in collaboration with sales and customers.
  • Supporting complaint handling and problem solving in a professional and timely manner.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, distributors, advisory bodies, and suppliers.
  • Contributing to the annual sales, marketing, and development plan, and ensuring agreed objectives are achieved.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced professional with a solid background in agribusiness who understands the North African market. You have:

  • A relevant academic degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of technical and marketing experience in crop protection in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of the crop protection market, specifically related to active ingredients.
  • Fluency in English and good command of French (written and spoken); Arabic is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication skills, accuracy, and flexibility.

With this background, you are able to switch between strategic planning and hands-on execution, while building trust with both local and international stakeholders.

What we offer

  • A key role in the further growth of Crop Protection in North Africa.
  • The security of a stable, international organization with a strong reputation in chemical distribution.
  • Plenty of room for ownership and initiative within your market area.
  • Close cooperation with colleagues in the Netherlands and an international network of specialists.
  • Opportunities to deepen your expertise through training and international collaboration.
