We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist school for a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive and dynamic team.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils with additional needs, supporting both their learning and overall wellbeing in a nurturing educational environment.
š The RoleAs an LSA, you will work under the direction of the class teacher to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning and develop key life skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting learning activities in and out of the classroom
Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Promoting pupils' independence, communication, and social development
Supporting behaviour management in line with school policies
Assisting with personal care and medical needs (training provided)
Supervising pupils during playtimes, lunchtimes, and trips
Contributing to classroom preparation and resource management
Monitoring and recording pupil progress

Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Emotionally resilient and calm under pressure
Strong communicators who can build positive relationships
Confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Able to support personal care and wellbeing needs sensitively
Equipped with good literacy, numeracy, and basic ICT skills
Experience working with children or young people-particularly those with special educational needs-is highly desirable.
