About the Role

<p dir="ltr">We are looking for systems engineers to work on a platform engineering team to produce<br />
reusable infrastructure and software components to support a wide variety of large, mission<br />
critical, user-facing applications and services produced by multiple project teams. The engineers<br />
will be responsible for producing both robust, reusable software solutions and business<br />
processes centered around modern, industry standard infrastructure as code and DevOps tools<br />
to harden applications, improve resiliency, reduce costs, and accelerate speed of delivery to<br />
mission customers.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Demonstrated experience:</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Leveraging cloud-native tools to build infrastructure and sustain applications in a cloud<br />
environment (AWS preferred)</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Writing cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform preferred)</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Working with containers and associated technologies such as Docker, Podman,<br />
Kubernetes, and Helm</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Delivering and debugging applications written in languages such as Java, Python,<br />
JavaScript, or Ruby running in Linux-based environments</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Developing software in Python (preferred), Java, or JavaScript</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Delivering and maintaining relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, or<br />
document databases such as Elasticsearch or Solr, to include managed databases such<br />
as AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) or OpenSearch</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Providing tier 3 support to debug applications and infrastructure; performing root cause<br />
analysis of failures</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Using Git and working on cross-functional teams with Git-based workflows</p>
</li>
</ul>
