<p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p>
<p>As a Senior Plastics Manufacturing Engineer, you will be tasked with creating and refining manufacturing processes and systems within the facility to ensure efficient production, top-notch product quality, and cost-effectiveness. Your role is crucial in the production of high-quality plastic products, requiring a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control principles, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to meet production goals and drive continuous improvement. </p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<li>Enhance and optimize manufacturing processes in the plant, including extrusion, injection molding, assembly, and packaging.</li>
<li>Conduct thorough validation and verification activities to uphold consistent product quality and meet industry standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with product management and design engineers to improve product design for better manufacturability.</li>
<li>Implement continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies for products, including identifying design changes and process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize defects.</li>
<li>Work closely with tooling and equipment designers to develop tooling, equipment, or fixtures that meet performance requirements and product specifications.</li>
<li>Evaluate product and tooling designs for cost-effectiveness, ease of maintenance, and manufacturability.</li>
<li>Create operational work instructions for new equipment and participate in training efforts.</li>
<li>Create maintenance schedules for new equipment to prevent breakdowns.</li>
<li>Establish and enforce quality control procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any deviations or defects in the manufacturing process.</li>
<li>Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely completion of milestones.</li>
<li>Identify potential manufacturing risks and devise mitigation strategies to maintain consistent production and product quality.</li>
<li>Perform root cause investigations and failure analysis to resolve production-related issues.</li>
<li>Assist in various other duties as needed.</li>

<li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing, with a focus on plastic products.</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes such as injection molding and extrusion.</li>
<li>Proficiency in CAD for tooling and fixture design.</li>
<li>Familiarity with quality control standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.) and methodologies.</li>
<li>Experience in project management is a plus.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li>
</ul>
