About the Role
What We Do: GSM Industrial is a Fabrication job shop and Industrial Mechanical Contractor. This Role: Primarily responsible for estimating and acquiring orders from customers and prospects to fill available and future capacity of GSM Industrial operations. Includes overseeing the mechanical contracting, industrial steel fabrication and installation needs of a base of accounts. Also responsible for establishing new accounts with assistance from Business Development. This position's primary focus will be related to industrial installation projects at customer locations. Responsibilities include Client Relationship Management (developing long lasting business relationships with new and existing accounts), Project Understanding (calculating estimated costs of material, labor, equipment and contract services), Strategic Project Management (completing documentation requirements and leading kickoff meetings to understand project specifications, timeframe, materials, scope of work and scheduling), Ownership of scope of work, Procurement of project related field materials and non-fabricated parts, Coordination of field, shop, and shipping activities, Team Collaboration with project superintendents, Onsite Supervision including scheduling, engineering, and material control, Financial Management including timely payment applications, Document Control including field/shop drawings, addendums, and RFIs, Safety Compliance with OSHA/MSHA regulations, and Quality Assurance throughout the project. Success is measured by meeting or exceeding annual sales and profit margins, establishing and maintaining customers, and excellence in internal and external communication.
