<p>We’re partnering with a growing consultancy looking to appoint a <strong>Principal Consultant</strong> to play a key role in delivering sustainability solutions across the residential development sector.</p>
<p>With a strong pipeline of new build projects, this position offers the chance to combine <strong>technical leadership, team management, and project oversight</strong>, particularly within overheating analysis and planning-driven sustainability strategies.</p>
<p>This role would suit someone who enjoys leading from the front-balancing hands-on delivery with team development and commercial input.</p>

<li>Mentor and support team members, helping to build capability and confidence</li>
<li>Work closely with clients to deliver on project objectives</li>
<li>Monitor programme timelines, resourcing, and budgets</li>
<li>Stay informed on industry trends, particularly in residential and sustainability</li>

<h3><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Team Leadership:</strong> Manage workloads, performance, and overall team delivery</li>
<li><strong>Quality Assurance:</strong> Implement and maintain strong QA procedures</li>
<li><strong>People Development:</strong> Drive training initiatives and continuous improvement</li>
<li><strong>Commercial Oversight:</strong> Take ownership of project financials and forecasting</li>
<li><strong>Technical Input:</strong> Lead on overheating assessments (IES DSM) and planning support work</li>
<li><strong>Business Growth:</strong> Contribute to expanding services within the residential sector</li>
<li><strong>Sustainability Focus:</strong> Exposure to Whole Life Carbon (WLCA) is advantageous</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience managing teams within a consultancy setting</li>
<li>Strong background in quality control and project delivery</li>
<li>Experience mentoring and developing junior staff</li>
<li>Good commercial awareness, including project financial management</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of IES software (essential)</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with overheating analysis (IES DSM)</li>
<li>Understanding of planning-related sustainability strategies</li>
<li>Interest or experience within residential new build projects</li>
<li>Relevant degree or professional background</li>
<li>Strong communication and leadership skills</li>
