<p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a <strong>Head Veterinary Nurse</strong> to join a friendly and well-equipped small animal practice in <strong>Acton, Greater London</strong>. This position is ideal for an experienced RVN who thrives in a leadership role and enjoys driving clinical standards, mentoring others, and delivering exceptional patient and client care.</p>
<p><strong>The Role:</strong><br />
As Head Nurse, you’ll take responsibility for the <strong>clinical leadership of the nursing team</strong>, ensuring the highest levels of care, compliance, and operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in shaping the clinic’s standards and supporting both your nursing colleagues and veterinary surgeons in delivering outstanding service.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Provide exceptional clinical care for patients during procedures and nurse-led appointments</p>
<li>
<p>Support veterinary surgeons during operations and procedures</p>
<li>
<p>Manage patient admissions, discharges, and medication dispensing</p>
<li>
<p>Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records</p>
<li>
<p>Lead daily briefings and ensure smooth day-to-day clinic operations</p>
<li>
<p>Coach and develop the nursing team, promoting nurse-led clinics and Schedule 3 procedures</p>
<li>
<p>Ensure compliance with RCVS, health and safety, and internal practice standards</p>
<li>
<p>Manage stock control and laboratory procedures efficiently</p>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>

<p><strong>RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse</strong> (essential)</p>
<li>
<p>Confident leading, mentoring, and developing a clinical team</p>
<li>
<p>Experience in delivering high-quality patient and client care</p>
<li>
<p>Skilled in planning, organisation, and communication</p>
<li>
<p>Positive and proactive team player with strong leadership skills</p>
<li>
<p>Willing to work weekends as part of the rota</p>
