This role leads and supports outreach programs across a variety of audiences and settings, including businesses, schools, residential communities, construction and demolition stakeholders, and public events.</p><p></p><p>This position operates with a high level of independence and spends significant time in the field delivering programs, presentations, and hands-on education.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Plan, coordinate, and execute waste reduction and recycling education programs for:</p><ul><li><p>Businesses and food waste generators</p></li><li><p>Construction and demolition stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Single-family and multi-family residential communities</p></li><li><p>Schools (elementary through college level)</p></li><li><p>Community events and public outreach initiatives</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Respond to customer and community inquiries regarding recycling guidelines and best practices</p></li><li><p>Deliver engaging presentations to small and large audiences, both in classroom and public settings</p></li><li><p>Lead and coordinate recycling site tours</p></li><li><p>Support larger outreach initiatives while managing day-to-day education and engagement tasks</p></li><li><p>Track and manage multiple projects simultaneously, from planning through completion</p></li><li><p>Perform additional outreach-related duties as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p><b>Required Skills & Experience:</b></p><ul><li><p>Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for recycling, waste reduction, and sustainability</p></li><li><p><b>Bi-lingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred</b></p></li><li><p>Experience planning and executing events or outreach programs</p></li><li><p>Strong presentation and public speaking skills for audiences of varying sizes and age groups</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently, using sound judgment and discretion</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Technical Skills:</b></p><ul><li><p>Intermediate proficiency with:</p><ul><li><p>Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)</p></li><li><p>Adobe Acrobat</p></li><li><p>Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or similar graphics tools</p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work Style Attributes:</b></p><ul><li><p>Highly organized and detail-oriented</p></li><li><p>Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and priorities</p></li><li><p>Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects with minimal supervision</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working under pressure and managing long-term projects along side daily responsibilities</p></li></ul><p></p><p>To be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application at www.wasteconnections.com.
