Your Responsibilities
As a Cloud Administrator at JTL, you are responsible for the stable, secure, and scalable operation of our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. You ensure that cloud resources are provisioned, monitored, and continuously evolved in a standardized, reliable, and efficient manner. In doing so, you lay the technological foundation for our product development, internal systems, and customer-facing services.
A key part of your role is establishing clear guardrails and self-service models that enable other teams to provision cloud solutions independently. Your goal: maximum speed and flexibility for development without compromising security, stability, or cost control. Cloud-native principles are not just a buzzword here—they are part of everyday practice.
Especially in e-commerce, high innovation speed, uncompromising security, and reliable integration are critical. Working closely with operations, security, development, and architecture teams, you actively shape the evolution of our cloud strategy. You ensure that cloud services not only work, but are operated sustainably, securely, and cost-effectively. Your Responsibilities:
You design and operate structured Azure environments with policies, management groups, and clear standards
You are responsible for managing identities, access rights, and compliance requirements (including GDPR)
You implement and operate security mechanisms such as IAM, network security, secrets management, and just-in-time access
You design and implement secure network architectures with VNets, private endpoints, and hybrid connections
You conduct security reviews and risk analyses and derive appropriate measures
You automate cloud infrastructures using Terraform
You develop reusable modules for networks, policies, and security components
You support CI/CD pipelines to ensure stable and efficient deployments
You establish monitoring and logging concepts and optimize performance and availability
You drive cost optimization and ensure transparent reporting
You work closely with DevOps, engineering, and architecture teams
You advise internal teams on secure and efficient cloud usage patterns
Your Profile
You have strong Azure expertise and hands-on experience operating cloud platforms
You bring excellent knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
You have experience in cloud security, particularly in Azure environments
Ideally, you hold Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer) or are working toward them
You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with DevOps, engineering, security, and IT teams
You are eager to continuously develop your skills and contribute your own ideas to improve security, scalability, and efficienc
