Shipping Manager

<p>Job description</p> <p>Cogent Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing and distribution company based in Elland for a Shipping Manager.</p> <ul> <li>37.5 hours per week</li> <li>Monday to Friday 8.30am – 17:00</li> <li>£40,000 &#8211; £45,000 dependent on experience &#8211; must have supervisory or managerial experience to be considered for the higher range.</li> </ul> <p>What You’ll Be Doing:</p> <ul> <li>Preparing shipping documents for domestic and international shipments.</li> <li>Start to finish management of shipping processes.</li> <li>Tracking shipments and coordinating imports while liaising with different teams.</li> <li>Overseeing the department and direct reports, and coordinating with other departments as necessary.</li> <li>Requesting transport quotes for truck, air, and ocean freight deliveries.</li> <li>Assisting with export/import processes and customer communications.</li> <li>Ensuring shipping documentation is accurate and meets compliance standards.</li> <li>Supporting the resolution of shipment issues to ensure smooth deliveries.</li> <li>Maintaining inventory levels to meet customer requirements.</li> </ul> <p>What We’re Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>A keen interest in logistics and international shipping.</li> <li>Strong previous experience in a shipping role.</li> <li>Ideally has supervisory or managerial experience in a similar capacity within shipping.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Confidence in using MS Office</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers and suppliers.</li> </ul> <p>Cogent Staffing is an equal opportunities recruiter, and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation, or age.</p> <p>#commercialtemp</p>
