About the role:
justteachers is recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a welcoming SEN school in Birmingham from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work with Key Stage 2 pupils with a range of additional learning needs, delivering engaging lessons that enable every child to reach their full potential within a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with the SENCO and wider multidisciplinary team.
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
- Promote pupils’ communication, independence, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs, ideally within an SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of a range of additional needs, including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A patient, flexible, and child-centred approach.
