SEND Resource Teaching Assistant

About the role:
justteachers are supporting a primary school in Coventry to recruit a SEND Resource Base Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time role with a September 2026 start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school has a specialist resource provision supporting pupils with Autism, speech and language needs and social communication difficulties. The successful candidate will receive specialist CPD and work within an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support
• Support communication and social interaction skills
• Deliver planned interventions and EHCP targets
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the SENDCo

Pre-requisites:

• Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
• Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
• A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
