SEN Teacher Location: Manchester Pay: £160–£220 per day (DOE) Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm opportunities Start Date: ASAP / September starts Available Closing Date: Applications Reviewed Ongoing SEN Teacher – Therapeutic School Setting | Manchester Luma Education Recruitment is working in partnership with a highly regarded therapeutic SEN school in Manchester to recruit a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist education setting that supports children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), ADHD, communication difficulties, and associated learning needs. The school takes a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to education, placing relationships, wellbeing, and individual progress at the heart of everything they do. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Support pupils with EHCPs and personalised learning programmes Work closely with therapists, support staff, and families to achieve positive outcomes Use therapeutic and trauma-informed strategies to promote engagement and emotional regulation Monitor pupil progress and contribute to annual reviews and educational planning Requirements To be considered, you will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification) Experience working with children or young people with SEND, Autism, SEMH, or additional needs Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills A child-centred and adaptable teaching approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Ideal Experience Applications are welcomed from teachers with experience in: SEN Schools Specialist Schools Alternative Provis...
