SEMH Teacher (Primary or Secondary Trained) Location: Norfolk Pay: £150–£220 per day (DOE) Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Supply | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity Start Date: ASAP / September 2026 Closing Date: Applications Reviewed Upon Receipt SEMH Teacher Job – Norfolk Luma Education Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Norfolk to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher for a full-time, long-term position. This rewarding role would suit either a Primary Teacher, Secondary Teacher, SEND Teacher, Alternative Provision Teacher, or experienced SEMH Practitioner looking to make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school supports pupils who may have experienced barriers to education and require a therapeutic, nurturing, and highly personalised approach to learning. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs. Support pupils with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, and additional SEND requirements. Create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment that promotes engagement and achievement. Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and multidisciplinary professionals. Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and educational planning where required. Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive behaviour strategies throughout the school day. The Ideal Candidate Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience working within SEMH, SEND, Alternative Provision, Specialist Education, or Mainstream settings. Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs. Passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
