SEMH - Secondary Teacher Location: Nottinghamshire Salary: £37,500 (negotiable) + £ SEN Allowance Contract: Permanent | Full-time | Term Time Only Start Date: ASAP / Septemebr Starts Available Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Science Teacher to join a specialist SEN provision in Nottinghamshire. This is a permanent opportunity within a growing school supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a highly supportive and well-resourced environment. You will be responsible for delivering engaging GCSE Science lessons to small classes, ensuring teaching is highly differentiated to meet a wide range of SEMH and additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is looking to work a setting where relationships, consistency, and creativity are at the heart of learning. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver high-quality GCSE Science lessons in line with the national curriculum • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and related needs • Maintain a calm, structured, and highly supportive classroom environment • Work closely with support staff to maximise pupil engagement and progress • Track, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations • Contribute to wider school life including enrichment activities, trips, and interventions Requirements: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Strong experience teaching Secondary Science (GCSE level essential) • Experience working with SEMH and/or SEND learners • Excellent behaviour management strategies and resilience • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with vulnerable learners • Enhanced DBS (on Update Service or willingness to obtain prior to start) Benefits: • Permanent contract with stability and progression opportunities • Competitive salary with SEN allowance • Small class sizes (maximum 6 pupils) with high...
