Our client is looking for a practical, hands-on Handyperson / Engineering Assistant to support their engineering team with day-to-day duties within a busy factory environment.

This role would suit someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys practical work, and is confident using tools. You will be helping engineers with a range of tasks, including machine building, general maintenance, repairs, and other handyman-style duties around the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assisting engineers with daily tasks in the factory
-Supporting with building, assembling, and maintaining machinery
-Carrying out general handyman and maintenance duties
-Using hand tools and basic power tools safely
-Helping with repairs, adjustments, and improvements around the site
-Keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe
-Following health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements:

-Previous experience in a hands-on role, ideally within a factory, workshop, maintenance, or engineering environment
-Confident using hand tools and basic power tools
-Practical, reliable, and willing to learn
-Good problem-solving skills
-Ability to work well as part of a team
-Flexible attitude towards different tasks.

Desirable:

-Basic mechanical or engineering knowledge
-Experience assisting engineers or maintenance teams
-Experience with machine assembly or factory equipment.
