<h2>Technical Training Manager (Heating &amp; Renewables)</h2> <p>Central Scotland | Full-Time | Permanent</p> <p>We are currently working with a growing <strong>heating, HVAC and renewable energy specialist</strong> to recruit a <strong>Technical Training Manager</strong> to support the development of their engineering workforce.</p> <p>This is a key role within a business delivering <strong>end-to-end heating, cooling and renewable energy solutions</strong> across domestic and commercial sectors, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and energy efficiency.</p> <hr /> <h2>The Company</h2> <p>Our client is an established provider of <strong>heating, cooling, and renewable technologies</strong>, offering installation, maintenance, and upgrade services to a wide range of customers.</p> <p>With expertise spanning gas systems, HVAC, and renewables, they deliver <strong>full lifecycle solutions from design through to servicing</strong>, supporting clients in improving efficiency and reducing energy costs.</p> <p>Due to continued growth, they are now looking to invest in structured training and development across their engineering teams.</p> <hr /> <h2>The Role</h2> <p>As Technical Training Manager, you will take ownership of <strong>designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programmes</strong> across the business.</p> <p>You will work closely with engineering, service, and management teams to ensure staff are trained to the highest standards across <strong>gas, HVAC, and renewable systems</strong>.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Developing and delivering <strong>technical training programmes</strong> for engineers</li> <li>Supporting onboarding and upskilling of new and existing staff</li> <li>Creating structured training pathways across <strong>gas, heating, and renewable technologies</strong></li> <li>Ensuring training aligns with current <strong>industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements</strong></li> <li>Providing hands-on and classroom-based training sessions</li> <li>Supporting engineers with technical queries and development needs</li> <li>Monitoring competency levels and identifying skills gaps</li> <li>Contributing to continuous improvement of service quality and technical standards</li> <li>Working alongside management to support long-term workforce development</li> </ul> <hr /> <h2>The Candidate</h2> <p>We are looking for an experienced engineer or technical specialist who has moved into, or is looking to move into, a training-focused role.</p> <h3>Essential:</h3> <ul> <li>Strong background in <strong>heating, HVAC, gas, or renewable systems</strong></li> <li>Experience in a <strong>senior engineer, supervisor, or technical role</strong></li> <li>Excellent communication and coaching skills</li> <li>Strong understanding of <strong>industry regulations and best practice</strong></li> <li>Ability to deliver both practical and theoretical training</li> </ul> <h3>Desirable:</h3> <ul> <li>Previous experience in a <strong>training or mentoring capacity</strong></li> <li>Knowledge of <strong>renewable technologies (e.g. heat pumps, solar, etc.)</strong></li> <li>Relevant certifications or training qualifications</li> </ul> <hr /> <h2>The Package</h2> <ul> <li>Salary £40,000 &#8211; £60,000 depending on experience</li> <li>8% pension</li> <li>33 days holiday</li> <li>Private health insurance</li> </ul> <hr /> <h2>Why Apply?</h2> <p>This is a unique opportunity to step into a role where you can <strong>directly influence the development of engineers and technical standards</strong> within a growing organisation.</p> <p>You&#8217;ll play a key role in supporting a business operating across <strong>traditional heating and emerging renewable technologies</strong>, with real scope to build and shape the training function as the company expands.</p> <p>WR HVAC | M&amp;E are #1 recruitment partner for HVAC jobs.
