CAD/Design Drafter III

<p>The <strong>CAD/</strong><strong>Design Drafter III</strong> is responsible for developing conceptual designs, reviewing drawings, and supporting the engineering team. This role involves designing project-specific components for manufacturing, facilitating internal workflows, and collaborating with Project Management and Engineering teams&mdash;both in person and remotely&mdash;to develop design concepts and engineering documentation. Responsibilities may vary based on department needs.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Research and review project requirements and design information to ensure completeness and feasibility </li> <li>Assist in preparing standard engineering documents and calculations using Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD, Inventor, and iLogic </li> <li>Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers to define project requirements, functions, and timelines </li> <li>Determine appropriate methods for creating drawings using customized, standard, or existing CAD templates </li> <li>Analyze drawings and design data to support project planning and execution </li> <li>Complete and revise drawings in accordance with scope of work and quality standards </li> <li>Review drawings from other drafters to ensure consistency with project scope and drafting standards </li> <li>Support project managers in preparing scopes of work and project estimates </li> <li>Perform other related duties as assigned </li> </ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in Drafting or CAD Technology with 3&ndash;5 years of experience, or equivalent experience<br /><em>(8+ years of mechanical engineering field experience may substitute for a degree)</em> </li> <li>Proficiency with Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD, Inventor, and iLogic </li> </ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with sheet metal and piping design </li> </ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>CAD skills assessment required </li> </ul> <p>Work Environment &amp; Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Primarily sedentary work, involving extended periods of sitting and computer use </li> <li>Requires attention to detail, visual focus, and coordination for high-accuracy tasks </li> <li>May involve occasional physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting (up to 10 lbs), and repetitive motions </li> <li>Work is typically performed in a comfortable office environment </li> <li>Must meet attendance expectations</li> </ul> <p><span class="hidden">6797</span></p>
