Supply Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Specialist SEN School Location: South East London Day Rate: £95–£115 per day (negotiable depending on experience) Application Deadline: 28th February 2026 Luma Education Recruitment is seeking dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for a specialist SEN school in South East London . This is an exciting supply role offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of neurodiverse children and young people . Role Overview As an LSA, you will be a key member of the school team, providing classroom support and pastoral care . You will work closely with the SENCo, therapy team, and teaching staff , helping students access learning, develop strategies to succeed, and fully participate in school life. You will also contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider school community, supporting a well-rounded educational experience. There are excellent opportunities for career progression , including CPD, taking on additional responsibilities, and developing your role alongside a large therapy team. Students study a wide range of courses, from Life Skills qualifications to GCSEs, BTECs, and A Levels , so flexibility, a broad skill set, and a passion for supporting neurodiverse learners are essential. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 learning support for pupils as required Develop an understanding of individual students' needs and seek guidance from the SENCo, class teacher, and external agencies Support access to all learning experiences in the classroom and beyond, providing or modifying resources such as worksheets, visual prompts, and games Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment across the school Deliver positive reinforcement, praise, and rewards to students Facilitate inclusion in small group activities and support interaction with peers Attend relevant training sessions and meetings to stay up to date with SEN developments Why Join This SEN School?
