Role Overview As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a key member of the school team, providing both classroom support and pastoral care . You will work closely with the SENCo, therapy team, and teaching staff , helping pupils access learning, develop strategies to succeed, and fully participate in school life. You will also contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider school community, supporting a well-rounded educational experience. A flexible approach, strong teamwork skills, and a genuine passion for supporting neurodiverse learners are essential. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for early years and primary pupils Develop a strong understanding of individual needs, working closely with the SENCo, class teacher, and external professionals Support access to learning by adapting resources such as worksheets, visual prompts, and games Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Use positive reinforcement, praise, and reward strategies to support behaviour and engagement Facilitate inclusion in small group activities and support peer relationships Attend training sessions and meetings to stay up to date with SEN best practice Why Join This School?
