SEN Teacher – Early Years & Primary SEN School Sevenoaks, Kent Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 per annum (Actual) Teacher Main Payscale 1–6 (Fringe) Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Application Deadline: 15th February 2026 Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school set in a beautiful village location in Kent . This is a permanent opportunity to lead learning and make a meaningful, long-term impact on the lives of early years and primary-aged neurodiverse children . Role Overview As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and adapting high-quality teaching to meet the diverse needs of pupils with special educational needs. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCo, and the therapy team to create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. You will play a key role in supporting pupils' academic, social, emotional, and communication development , while contributing to the wider school community and its inclusive ethos. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for early years and primary-aged SEN pupils Adapt the curriculum to meet individual needs, ensuring all pupils can access learning Work collaboratively with the SENCo, therapists, and support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as required Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Lead and support Teaching Assistants to ensure consistent, high-quality support Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence using consistent strategies Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals Participate in training, meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on SEN best practice Why Join This School?
