Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists for a long-term locum tenens role in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. This position offers the opportunity to independently manage anesthesia cases in a hospital-based anesthesia department, with a focus on general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care. Opportunity Details:
Contract type: CRNA Locum Tenens
Start date: ASAP – Ongoing
Duration: Through July 31, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM start, with varying end times (up to 7:00 PM)
Hours per week: 40 hours
Location: Lewisburg, PA (specific facility details generalized to community hospital setting)
Compensation: $315/hour, with 1.5x overtime and holiday pay
Clinical Scope:
Manage general anesthesia, regional anesthesia (spinals, epidurals), and MAC
Perform airway management, including difficult airway protocols and intubation
Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia care
Handle intraoperative emergencies such as malignant hyperthermia and hypotension
Support obstetric anesthesia (OB Spinals) and C-sections
Use Epic EMR system
Independently manage cases from pre-op to PACU in a hospital anesthesia department
No call required; scheduled shifts include day coverage only
Qualifications:
Required:
Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania RN license
NBCRNA board certification
ACLS certification
DEA registration
CSR (Credentialing/Privileging) approval (~60 days)
Preferred:
Experience with obstetric anesthesia and intraoperative emergencies
Ability to quickly learn facility protocols and work independently
