<p><span><strong>Transport Supervisor</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Up to &#163;36,000 per annum</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Purton</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Full-time, Permanent</strong></span></p> <p><span>Are you an experienced Transport Supervisor, Transport Planner, or Logistics Team Leader looking for your next challenge? If YES, we would love to hear from you!</span></p> <p><span>My client, a well-established organisation, is seeking a Transport Supervisor to join their Purton-based team. Working closely with the management team, you will play a key role in overseeing daily transport activities, supporting drivers, maintaining compliance standards, and ensuring operational efficiency across the fleet.</span></p> <p><span><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Ensure compliance with all transport legislation, health and safety requirements, and company policies, including tachograph management and vehicle defect reporting</span></li> <li><span>Support the planning and optimisation of daily vehicle routes to maximise productivity and minimise downtime</span></li> <li><span>Monitor driver performance, attendance, and productivity, providing coaching and support where required</span></li> <li><span>Conduct investigations relating to vehicle incidents, accidents, and employee conduct issues</span></li> <li><span>Liaise with drivers, operational teams, and customers to ensure service levels are maintained</span></li> <li><span>Oversee vehicle, equipment, and site standards, ensuring operational readiness at all times</span></li> <li><span>Maintain accurate transport documentation, reports, and compliance records</span></li> <li><span>Assist with credit control processes and support wider business performance objectives</span></li> <li><span>Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>Person Specification</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Previous experience within a Transport Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Fleet Supervisor, Transport Planner, or similar operational role is essential</span></li> <li><span>Strong knowledge of transport legislation, fleet compliance, and driver management</span></li> <li><span>Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively</span></li> <li><span>Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across multiple departments</span></li> <li><span>Experience managing and motivating teams within a fast-paced operational environment</span></li> <li><span>High level of attention to detail and accuracy when completing reports and documentation</span></li> <li><span>Good IT skills, including experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications</span></li> <li><span>A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>Working hours for this role are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00 am &#8211; 5.00 pm</strong></span></p> <p><span>Successful candidates will be contacted within 7 working days of their application.
