About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Northampton. This is a full-time, short-term role starting in September 2026. While the position is initially offered on a temporary basis, there is the potential for it to become temp-to-perm for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Art lessons that meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Teach Art up to Key Stage 4, preparing students for GCSE examinations and undertaking full classroom responsibilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations for learning and behaviour.
- Build strong relationships with students and manage behaviour effectively using positive strategies.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external agencies to provide the best outcomes for students.
- Implement effective teaching strategies that support students’ individual needs and encourage both academic and personal development.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Art up to GCSE level.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Two recent education or school-based professional references.
