About the Role
<p>We are looking to recruit two <strong>Psychology Lecturers/Senior Lecturers</strong> to join our <strong>Business and Science School</strong> based at our <strong>London, Bloomsbury campus.</strong></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>As a Psychology Lecturer, you will deliver high quality education across ULaw’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. This includes curriculum development, quality management, enhancement activities and associated operational administration. Our Senior Lecturers take a lead role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness and enhancement of programmes following the University's strategy, policy and procedures.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal">To support our innovative and student-centred approach to teaching delivery, the role is based on a 35-hour working week but operates on a 5-over-7-day working pattern. This approach offers flexibility in how hours are worked and will include evenings and/or weekends during teaching weeks. Your working pattern will be discussed and agreed collaboratively each term, subject to operational requirements. This will include teaching and assessing students across a range of written and oral skills and giving individual feedback on students’ performances.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Act as an academic coach to students, including being available and willing to discuss students’ problems as they arise, their performance and academic progression</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Assist in marketing, widening participation and extra-curricular events.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Supervise student dissertations and research projects.</p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Is this you?:</strong></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Sufficient breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Professional, credible, commands respect</p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Requirements for Lecturer positions:</strong></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant subject</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards*</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE*</p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><em>* Please note that if you do not currently hold this, it is a requirement of the University that you will enrol into the programme (delivered and financially supported by the University), usually within 12 months of passing probation.
