About the Role

We are looking to recruit two Psychology Lecturers/Senior Lecturers to join our Business and Science School based at our London, Bloomsbury campus.As a Psychology Lecturer, you will deliver high quality education across ULaw’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. This includes curriculum development, quality management, enhancement activities and associated operational administration. Our Senior Lecturers take a lead role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness and enhancement of programmes following the University's strategy, policy and procedures.To support our innovative and student-centred approach to teaching delivery, the role is based on a 35-hour working week but operates on a 5-over-7-day working pattern. This approach offers flexibility in how hours are worked and will include evenings and/or weekends during teaching weeks. Your working pattern will be discussed and agreed collaboratively each term, subject to operational requirements. This will include teaching and assessing students across a range of written and oral skills and giving individual feedback on students’ performances.</li><li class="MsoNormal">Act as an academic coach to students, including being available and willing to discuss students’ problems as they arise, their performance and academic progression</li><li class="MsoNormal">Assist in marketing, widening participation and extra-curricular events.</li><li class="MsoNormal">Supervise student dissertations and research projects.</li></ul>Is this you?:<ul><li class="MsoNormal">Sufficient breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support</li><li class="MsoNormal">Professional, credible, commands respect</li></ul>Requirements for Lecturer positions:<ul><li class="MsoNormal">Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant subject</li><li class="MsoNormal">Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards*</li><li class="MsoNormal">Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE*</li></ul>* Please note that if you do not currently hold this, it is a requirement of the University that you will enrol into the programme (delivered and financially supported by the University), usually within 12 months of passing probation.
