R&D Engineer - Plasma Solutions & Electrification

What you will be doing In this role, you will take part in developing the next generation of decarbonized melting processes and contribute to reducing our climate footprint. You will: Define new melting concepts and translate them into practical solutions. Design and run test programs, analyze data, and evaluate results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present designs to relevant stakeholders. Engage in tender processes, working closely with suppliers. Commission and supervise technology implementation in factories worldwide. Keep track of global decarbonization trends and integrate external knowledge into projects. Travel 60–80 days per year, mainly across Europe, to work directly with colleagues, suppliers, and on-site projects. What you bring 3–5 years of experience in electrification tasks, such as high power/current engineering, arc-furnaces, induction, or plasma solutions. Solid knowledge of electric processes (e.g., transformers, rectifiers, arc processes). A flair for adapting R&D activities into practical development work. Willingness to work in factories worldwide, supporting tests and pilot productions. Strong data analytics skills. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
