We are seeking a highly skilled I&E Designer II to lead and support complex project design efforts in a dynamic environment. What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Proven senior-level experience in instrumentation and electrical design within industrial or pipeline projects
- Expertise in preparing process flow diagrams (PFD), piping & instrument diagrams (P&ID), equipment layouts, plot plans, and equipment/instrument lists
- Strong knowledge of assigning electrical equipment, instrument tagging, conduit, and cable numbering
- Ability to resolve drawing development issues efficiently and accurately
- Skilled in drafting changes to record drawings and maintaining detailed project documentation
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with vendors, project managers, and cross-disciplinary teams
- Familiarity with developing project scopes, engineering/design scopes, and construction scopes of work
- Proficiency with design software and CAD tools, along with a commitment to developing and maintaining standard drawings and procedures
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in developing material data sheets and parts lists through material take-offs
- Knowledge of specifications and procedures related to technical design and documentation
- Ability to review man-hour estimates and work schedules for project efficiency
- Experience with vendor communications for material quotes and availability
- Familiarity with project logistics and the coordination of multiple stakeholders
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Advanced technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical, instrumentation, or related engineering fields
- Senior-level design experience in industrial plant, pipeline, or facility projects
- Demonstrated success in managing design and drafting tasks within complex projects
Other Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to travel via air and/or automobile to various facility sites as needed
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and professional integrity
