About the role:

justteachers is recruiting on behalf of a supportive SEN primary school in Stratford-upon-Avon for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work within Key Stage 2. This full-time position runs from September 2026 until July 2027 and is ideal for someone passionate about helping pupils with additional needs achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEN in class through individual and small group interventions.
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning support.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
• Record observations and contribute to pupil progress reviews.

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN is preferred.
• Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning strategies.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
