About the Role

<strong>Job Description:</strong><br /> Function: Oversees the safe and efficient operation of tank storage in the Terminal facilities. Supervise crews during tank cleaning, removal, installation, and site remediation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations like OSHA.<br /> <br /> <strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br /> • Lead and supervise a team of operators who control and monitor transfers of the various bulk liquid chemicals stored and handled at the facility.<br /> • Coordinate and supervise product transfers to and from tanks, trucks, and pipelines (direct movements).<br /> • Physically control and monitor all terminal movements.<br /> • Physically control and monitor the terminal's utility systems. Interpret computer-based inventory control and order management systems and distribute the daily workload among the Operations team.<br /> • Manage all quality control equipment calibration: thermometers, measurement tapes, hydrometers, etc.<br /> • Interpret computer-based inventory control and order management systems and distribute the daily workload among the Operations team.<br /> • When necessary, verify automated tank gauging systems. Coordinate and interface with customer representatives and surveyors.<br /> • Coordinate product movements from the tank farm.<br /> • Play a key role in responding to terminal emergencies such as spills and fire.<br /> • Drives and promotes safety throughout the site.<br /> • Participates in operations, inventory, safety and communication meetings.<br /> • Participates in incident investigations and takes action to prevent recurrence.<br /> • Ensures environmental policies and practices are followed and all spills are properly reported.<br /> • Ensures hazardous waste generated are properly handled and not allowed to accumulate.<br /> • Coordinates with Maintenance &amp; HSSE Supervisor.<br /> • 24/7 availability to respond to critical airport operational needs.<br /> • Works closely with the local Operations Manager to research problems and communicate necessary information.<br /> • Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies.<br /> • Maintains compliance with company policies.<br /> • Responds to facility and hydrant issues to minimize any delays.<br /> • Trains employees as required.<br /> • Some responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and employee performance management.<br /> • Manage invoices, PO’s, and RFA creation; work with Navision and Kissflow.<br /> • Other duties as assigned.<br /> Main accountabilities include:<br /> • Complete shift reports<br /> • Must be able to direct others and give clear directions.<br /> • Able to organize and disseminate accurate operational information.<br /> • Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff are organized.<br /> • Ensure timely response to airlines and fueling teams for equipment-related issues and audits.<br /> • Available to work off hours including nights, weekends &amp; holidays.<br /> • Represents the Company in a positive manner, modeling ethical business behavior and integrity.<br /> • Able to respond to and direct emergency and spill response activities.<br /> • Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures. Reports all accidents and injuries and investigates ways in which to prevent re-occurrence.<br /> • Can meet Company's Attendance and code of conduct standards.<br /> • Able to serve as a backup for ramp supervisors in ramp operations.<br /> • Asist in procurement activities, delegated buyer and financial entries such as invoices, purchase requisitions and purchase order creation.<br /> • Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities<br /> • Manages employees in the Fuel Facility (tank farm).<br /> • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.<br /> • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.<br /> • Responsibilities include interviewing; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; employee recognition, addressing issues and ensuring employees successfully complete company's training programs.<br /> • Other duties as assigned. Safety, Security and Compliance<br /> • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions whilst at work.<br /> • Fully versed on International Aviation Safety and Security standards and passionate about promoting them within the organization.<br /> • Co-operate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.<br /> • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, safety, or welfare reasons.<br /> • Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health and safety.<br /> • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.<br /> • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.<br /> • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.<br /> • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.<br /> • Other duties as assigned.<br /> Physical Demands:<br /> The physical demands described below are representative of what the employee will find when performing his duties.<br /> <strong>Working Conditions:</strong><br /> •Overtime as required.<br /> •Work both indoors and outdoors.<br /> •Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.<br /> Equipment and Tools:<br /> Description of the equipment or tools that the individual must use to perform the job functions.<br /> •Lift and/or carry of equipment<br /> •Lift and/or carry boxes<br /> •This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and smartphones.<br /> •While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.<br /> •This would require the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, bend, stand, or stoop, as necessary.<br /> •Ability to perform climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling and moderate lifting.<br /> •Must be able to work in confined spaces, over water and not be afraid of heights. <br /> <br /> <strong>Requirements:<br /> Experience:</strong><br /> •High School diploma, minimum two years of college or equivalent is preferred.<br /> •Minimum 2 years in airport operations (preferably)<br /> •Availability to travel within Puerto Rico &amp; USVI.<br /> <br /> <strong>Qualifications:</strong><br /> •OSHA and EPA Regulations Knowledge (Preferred)<br /> •Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.<br /> •Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required.<br /> •Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.<br /> •Demonstrates customer relationship skills; including ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees from field to corporate executives.<br /> •Should possess solid problem solving, multi-tasking abilities and experience in the handling of flight operations.<br /> •Computer and experience with Microsoft Office programs required.<br /> •Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.<br /> •Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
