About the Role
POSITION SUMMARY:
Sports Park Team Members are an important part of the game-day experience at O’Fallon Family Sports Park. This entry-level position is ideal for employees looking to gain work experience while working in a fun, fast-paced environment. Team Members assist with concession operations, guest service, and basic park duties during soccer and baseball tournaments. This role focuses on teamwork, learning responsibility, and providing friendly, efficient service to players, families, coaches, and fans.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Provide friendly, respectful customer service to peers, players, families, coaches, and park guests
Greet guests and assist with basic questions or direct them to appropriate staff when needed
Assist with preparing and serving food and beverages such as popcorn, pretzels, hot dogs, nachos, candy, and fountain drinks
Operate concession registers accurately, including collecting payments and issuing receipts
Follow standard recipes, portion guidelines, and preparation instructions
Work efficiently during busy tournament and event periods
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines
Complete City-provided Food Safety training prior to beginning work
Maintain clean, organized concession areas throughout each shift
Assist with daily cleaning, stocking, and open/closing duties
Work cooperatively with fellow Team Members, Concession Stand Leads, and park staff
Assist with basic paperwork such as tally sheets, temperature logs, and inventory as assigned
Follow Park policies and assist with maintaining a safe, enjoyable environment
Perform other park- and concession-related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform physical activities such as standing and walking for extended periods, as well as frequent bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Ability to follow instructions and workplace values and rules
Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and confidently with peers and guests
Ability to follow established procedures while demonstrating good judgment
Willingness to complete City-provided Food Safety training prior to beginning work
Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts
PREFERRED QUALFICATIONS
Experience working in a team-based environment (school, sports, clubs, or activities)
Demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and reliability
