For our location in De Meern, we are looking for a colleague for the position of:

What will you be doing?

As an Industrial Automation Engineer (Software Engineer), you develop and maintain reliable control software for our high-tech process equipment. You are involved in the entire lifecycle: from functional design to on-machine testing and delivery.

Specifically, you will be involved in:

  • Designing, programming, and testing PLC and HMI software
  • Working based on functional descriptions, P&IDs, e-schematics, and I/O lists
  • Actively contributing to and drafting functional specifications
  • Testing, debugging, and optimizing software
  • Managing and further developing core software and supporting tools
  • Creating and maintaining documentation and user manuals
  • Collaborating with other engineers (electrical, process, and mechanical engineers) and colleagues from other disciplines
  • Staying up to date with new developments in software and industrial automation

Who will you be working with and on what?

You will work together in a multidisciplinary team of engineers within an international context. The machines for which you develop software are used worldwide in the food industry, often by large multinationals. This means complex systems, high demands on reliability, and a great deal of technical variety.

What do you bring? HBO working and thinking level

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Good command of Dutch and English
  • Experience with Mitsubishi GX‑Works and/or Siemens TIA Portal
  • Prefers:
    • Experience with Weintek EasyBuilder Pro
    • Knowledge of Visual Basic scripting
    • Experience in the food industry
  • Residing within 50 km of our office
