International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme Department Leader
0,8 - 1,0 fte

Are you a motivated internationally-oriented middle leader or aspire to become one? We are looking for you!

You are a dynamic and energetic professional who is preferably an experienced teacher in international education. Familiarity with the different educational philosophies at secondary level in the Netherlands, and abroad is an advantage. You are passionate about successful learning and well-being of students aged 11 to 16 in the IB Middle Years Programme.

You are ready to be part of the senior management team of the school and are motivated to shape and maintain the strategic direction and management of the whole school.

You are actively interested in the educational development of IBMYP and IBDP. You are flexible and willing to invest a considerable degree of time and energy, as sometimes tasks will have to be carried out outside the normal office hours.

You have excellent communication skills and ability to react well to setbacks and unexpected challenges.

You are fluent in English and have a working proficiency of Dutch.

You hold an “Eerstegraads” teaching qualification, either from a Dutch university, or a foreign qualification endorsed by Dutch education authorities.

Rijnlands Lyceum Oegstgeest (RLO) is a school with diverse educational programmes. Our international department (International School Rijnlands Lyceum Oegstgeest) offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. Our Dutch department has bilingual education (TTO) and regular Dutch education (havo, atheneum, gymnasium). Our focus is on international mindedness. Our school accommodates many different languages and cultures, and that is something we are proud of. We have offered out “international education with a Dutch touch” since 1983. We provide our programmes with about 200 staff members to 1450 pupils. The school is only 8 minutes by bike or bus from Leiden CS.
