Role: Project Clerk of Works

Location: Peterborough Schools

Pay: £360 per day CIS

Contract: Freelance / temporary

Start: 20th July 2026

Duration: 6 weeks

Hours: 07:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday

An established FM and construction services provider is seeking an experienced Project Clerk of Works to oversee multiple refurbishment and lifecycle projects across a three schools in Peterborough during the summer holiday period.

Projects include:

• AHU replacement
• Roofing and rooflight works
• Internal and external decorations
• Bathroom refurbishments
• Flooring replacements
• Fire door replacement programmes

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS
• SMSTS
• First Aid
• Experience managing refurbishment or lifecycle projects
• Clerk of Works qualification (ICWCI/CIOB)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple contractors across school sites
• Monitor quality, workmanship and compliance with specifications
• Ensure RAMS, permits and site documentation are in place
• Conduct inspections, snagging and progress reviews
• Maintain site records and progress reports
• Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with CDM regulations
• Liaise with project stakeholders and contractors throughout delivery
