<h1>Senior Energy Consultant</h1> <p><strong>Newark | £40,000 &#8211; £50,000 per annum (DOE) | Hybrid Working (Flexible Office Attendance)</strong></p> <h3><strong>Overview</strong></h3> <p>An established engineering and sustainability consultancy is seeking a <strong>Senior Energy Consultant</strong> to join its growing team based in Newark. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility of working from home with occasional office attendance.</p> <p>This position is ideal for an experienced energy professional with a strong background in building energy assessments, EPC production, and energy modelling. If you are looking to take on a senior role with increased responsibility while continuing to develop your technical expertise, this opportunity is for you.</p> <p>You will work on diverse projects across multiple sectors, helping clients enhance the energy performance and sustainability of their buildings.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <p>As a Senior Energy Consultant, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and energy assessments for a variety of building types.</li> <li>Provide expert consultancy on building energy performance and compliance.</li> <li>Conduct energy modelling and analysis to support Part L compliance and energy strategies.</li> <li>Prepare technical reports and energy strategy documentation.</li> <li>Collaborate with design teams to improve building energy efficiency.</li> <li>Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers throughout project delivery.</li> <li>Manage project deliverables and maintain strong client relationships.</li> <li>Support the wider sustainability team on building performance and low-carbon design initiatives.</li> <li>Assist with client engagement and contribute to new project opportunities.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3> <p>To excel in this role, you should have:</p> <ul> <li>NDEA accreditation (Level 3, 4, and 5).</li> <li>2-4+ years of experience in energy consultancy or building performance analysis.</li> <li>Proven experience producing commercial EPCs and working with energy compliance frameworks.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Part L regulations and building services systems.</li> <li>Excellent analytical and reporting skills, including proficiency in Excel.</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage directly with clients.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with energy modelling tools such as IES VE, SBEM, or similar.</li> <li>Familiarity with CIBSE guidance (TM54, TM52, TM59).</li> <li>A keen interest in low-carbon building design and sustainability strategies.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Day-to-Day</strong></h3> <p>Your daily activities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Producing EPCs for commercial buildings.</li> <li>Conducting building energy modelling and performance assessments.</li> <li>Preparing detailed technical reports and energy strategy documents.</li> <li>Supporting design teams in improving energy efficiency in building projects.</li> <li>Engaging with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality consultancy services.</li> <li>Managing project timelines and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Benefits</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.</li> <li>Flexible hybrid working arrangements to support work-life balance.</li> <li>Exposure to a wide variety of building types and sustainability projects.</li> <li>Opportunities for career development and professional accreditation.</li> <li>A supportive and collaborative consultancy environment.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Why Apply?</strong></h3> <p>This is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior role within a growing sustainability team.
