Unqualified Learning Support Assistant – Pembroke
Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available No Weekends | School Hours | Training Provided

We are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in the Pembroke area, supporting children and young people aged 3–19 years with a range of additional learning needs.

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils with their individual development plans, helping them grow in confidence, independence, and educational progress.
Every child is unique, and so is the support you’ll provide. The school uses a combination of classroom-based learning and hands-on sensory and practical activities to help pupils engage and succeed.
Your role will involve:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assisting with personalised learning plans
Encouraging independence and self-confidence
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Supporting sensory, practical, and outdoor learning activities
Helping create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
This role is about more than education — it’s about building trust, encouraging resilience, and helping young people believe in themselves.
Training & Support
You will receive full training and ongoing support from both Teaching Personnel and the school to ensure you feel confident and prepared in your role.

You will need:
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can help you apply)
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration (we can help you apply)
Availability Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Two professional references
A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
A genuine desire to support children in an alternative education setting
Experience is welcomed but not essential. Your attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn are what truly matter.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
