About the Role

LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SERIES: AN INTERVIEW WITH MEREDITH WEISS December 30, 2025 In our Leadership Spotlight Series, we are highlighting executives across our Company who are driving innovation, transforming business practices, and positively impacting the communities where we live and work. In this edition, we spotlight Meredith Weiss, Vice President of Licensing, Sports & Entertainment Licensing group, based in our New York City office. Growing Through Experience Meredith brings a deeply personal perspective to leadership. She remembers what it was like to be young in her career and eager to advance. Those memories shape how she supports her team today—with a steadfast dedication to providing thoughtful guidance and a focus on creating strategic growth opportunities for her team members of all levels.  This philosophy isn’t just about creating a pleasant workplace or driving advancement—it’s strategic. A collaborative, supportive environment enables the team to work effectively together, deliver exceptional results and genuinely enjoy the process.  The Centric Foundation Throughout Meredith’s 12.5-year tenure at Centric (nearly half of her career!), the company’s four Cs (Brand Centric, Business Centric, Customer Centric and People Centric) have helped guide her daily work and influence her leadership approach.   Relationship-Driven Success In licensing, protecting and building relationships with licensors is paramount. Meredith’s team has cultivated exceptional partnerships that have led to significant achievements.  One partnership Meredith is particularly proud of this year is a groundbreaking four-year exclusive deal with The Walt Disney Company for kids’ sleepwear. While the team has maintained exclusivity with Disney since 2015, previous agreements only spanned two to three years. This extended commitment demonstrates the strength of the relationship and provides crucial stability during uncertain economic times.  Another great success story from 2025 is sleepwear for Bluey, the cultural phenomenon that has captured children’s imaginations worldwide. The team has delivered significant Bluey-themed sleepwear volume so far this year, with strong projections to continue. Their relationship with BBC, who represents the property, has been so strong that they’ve maintained their position as a sole partner in kids’ sleepwear and established themselves as a key strategic partner overall.  These achievements reflect what Meredith describes as being a “best in class licensee”—a well-oiled machine that partners recognize, trust and respond to consistently.  Purpose Beyond Business Beyond day-to-day operations, Centric Cares initiatives hold special meaning for Meredith. When her team recently served lunch at Ronald McDonald House, it provided both fulfillment and crucial perspective.  Outside the Office Outside of work, reading provides a welcome escape for Meredith, though most of her energy centers on her daughter, who’s about to turn four.   And a fun fact! Meredith was a contestant on The Amazing Race in 2004. Relive her adventure on Paramount Plus!  Post navigation MARK MESSIER’S GAME 7 BRAND EXPANDS INTO NHL APPAREL CENTRIC BRANDS STRENGTHENS PORTFOLIO WITH ACQUISTION OF FOWNES BROTHERS & CO LICENSES Accessible Carousel PREVIOUS LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SERIES: AN INTERVIEW WITH MEREDITH WEISS MORE > MARK MESSIER’S GAME 7 BRAND EXPANDS INTO NHL APPAREL MORE > LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SERIES: AN INTERVIEW WITH SUE VENTURA MORE > ASSOCIATE SPOTLIGHT SERIES: AN INTERVIEW WITH MOUNTAIN MORE > ASSOCIATE SPOTLIGHT SERIES: AN INTERVIEW WITH PREETI MORE > HUDSON JEANS TAPS DANIELLE AND ALIX AS IN-HOUSE STYLISTS MORE > ASSOCIATE SPOTLIGHT SERIES: AN INTERVIEW WITH CAYLA MORE > CENTRIC BRANDS CREATES JV WITH PALM TREE CREW BRAND MORE > WHAT DOES A LIFESTYLE BRAND LOOK LIKE IN 2026?
