As a Mid-Level Business and Risk Analyst – Financial Instruments Valuation, you will be working for our client within the global banking and financial services industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate valuation and control of financial instruments, contributing to the integrity of global markets. This position offers an exciting pathway to deepen your expertise while supporting cutting-edge projects such as system migrations and valuation enhancements.
Your main responsibilities:
Manage the entire project lifecycle for migrating an Equity desk to a new Primary Trading System (PTS), including planning, stakeholder coordination, and governance updates.
Maintain valuation and control processes during system transitions, focusing on data flows, pricing, and reporting integrity.
Supervise FVA (Fair Value Adjustment) and IPV (Independent Price Verification) calculations across multiple entities.
Oversee the preparation of PVA (Prudent Valuation) and FVL (Fair Value Levelling).
Implement improved valuation methodologies and controls aligned with system migration needs.
Prepare and deliver management reports for global committees, ensuring transparency and data accuracy.
Monitor valuation model restrictions and recommendations on a global scale.
Collaborate with Business Financial Control and Core Product Control to provide a comprehensive view of P&L and Balance Sheet.
Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across Product Control, Quantitative Analytics, Front Office, Market Risk Management, IT, and Operations.
Streamline processes to increase efficiency, scale, and service quality.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
4+ years of experience in finance, risk, or valuation within the banking or financial services industry.
Strong knowledge of financial instruments, valuation techniques, and FVA frameworks.
Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with VBA, Access, and SQL is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
Ambitious, driven, and enthusiastic, with the ability to work independently.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
CFA or FRM qualification is advantageous.
